Board Members
Acting Chair: Adrienne Duarte
BEc, MBA, FCA, FCPA, MAICD
Adrienne is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience financial management, corporate governance and investment management. Until April 2022 she was Chief Financial Officer at Latitude Financial Services. Prior to that, Adrienne was CFO at Bank of New Zealand from 2012 to 2017 - the bank’s first female Chief Financial Officer.
Adrienne has a passion for Australian wildlife and is passionate about using her skills to help Wildlife Victoria be a strong advocate for Animal conservation in Victoria.
CEO & Executive Director: Lisa Palma
BBus (Banking & Finance), MBA
Lisa has been actively involved in the wildlife sector since 2012. Prior to joining Wildlife Victoria as CEO Lisa provided strategic and operational services to the sector and, in addition to her CEO responsibilities, continues to be an expert wildlife rescuer and rehabilitator.
Lisa brings nearly 30 years experience as a corporate executive to Wildlife Victoria. She has broad end-to-end expertise spanning IT, Operations, Product Management, Project Delivery and Strategy in large and complex organisations. Lisa has worked at some of Australia’s largest banks where she has been a member of many executive teams, has led large teams and lines of business and has managed multiple diverse stakeholders and outsourced service providers.
Lisa holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Business from Monash University. Lisa is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is an experienced Not-For-Profit Director. In addition to Wildlife Victoria, Lisa is also a director of a not-for-profit organisation supporting migrant and refugee women.
Deborah Carr
BA (Communications)
Deborah Carr is a fundraising and philanthropy leader with experience across the university sector, charities and medical research institutes. With a focus on building and enabling high performing fundraising teams and co-designing fundraising strategy focused on supporting organisational objectives, Deborah is a passionate fundraiser who enjoys building long term, mutually beneficial and impactful relationships with generous and equally passionate supporters and philanthropists.
Justine Halloran
BA/LLB
Justine Halloran is an experienced General Counsel and governance professional. She has worked for a number of major corporates (Coles, Myer, Medibank Private and BP). She is also an experienced non-executive director and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Justine has a passion for conservation and the natural environment and is an advocate for sustainability and preserving our native wildlife and habitat. Justine is keen to support the important work of Wildlife Victoria in rehabilitating and preserving native wildlife and inspiring others to do the same.
Galia Jenshel
BSc, BPsych, DPsych Candidate, GAICD
Galia is a management consultant, transformation and change specialist focussed on people and customer strategies, regulatory disruption and designing real business solutions to solve complex problems. She is currently a Managing Director, Strategy & Consulting, at Accenture. She is a hands on and practical senior advisor on people, culture, change and transformation across a range of industries.
Galia is passionate about conservation and is intent on using her skills to support Wildlife Victoria on its ongoing transformation journey and enthusiastic about making a difference for our wildlife.
Anthony Johnson
BBus (Accounting); MBA
Anthony has financial services leadership experience across Asia and Australia, specialising in digital and technology transformation, information management and customer operations. Anthony brings a wealth of experience that helps organisations manage large distributed workforces, manage high stress call centre operations as well as govern customer privacy and other operational risks.
Anthony is passionate about protecting our native fauna and the conservation of wildlife habitat and is enthusiastic about using his skills to help Wildlife Victoria achieve its mission.
Dr Suff Suharju
BVSc (Hons) PG Dip BA MAICD
Suff is a qualified veterinarian with over 10 years' experience in the animal health and welfare sector.
He currently manages a large veterinary hospital, offering a variety of speciality services. His experiences include general veterinary medicine, animal welfare investigations, operations management, organisational strategy, and public education.
Suff has a strong passion for wildlife and believes strongly in the continual development of Wildlife Victoria as a leading advocate and emergency responder to wildlife in need.
Wendy Tyrrell

Wendy Tyrrell, the Managing Director of The Long View, is a seasoned leader in the field of sustainability. With over 25 years of experience, she has worked internationally on sustainability, ESG, and responsible sourcing. Wendy has held senior roles in ASX-listed companies and recently served as the CEO of an international non-profit organisation focused on development partnerships. Her expertise extends to both for-profit and non-profit board roles. Passionate about enhancing sustainability’s role across society and the environment, Wendy Tyrrell is focused on driving impactful initiatives that shape a more sustainable future.
Carly Wilde
BVSc (Hons 1)
Carly is a strategic Operations Leader with extensive experience spanning across health & education sectors. Carly’s ability to deliver key organizational and commercial objectives is attributed to her success in developing high performance teams and facilitating effective change management.
Carly is a qualified Veterinarian with experience in both clinical and managerial roles, most notably with Greencross Vets Ltd. Carly currently manages one of Australia’s largest Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) programs across Victorian government, Catholic & independent schools. Carly is passionate about building effective relationships and driving wildlife advocacy within her chosen fields.
Carly has her Bachelor in Veterinary Science (Hons 1) from the University of Queensland.
